I think the effect of LN is a little bit exaggerated. Bitcoin could come first and it has really high adoption in "problematic" areas like Russia, Ukraine, African countries or Latin America. However, despite that, the overall adoption seems not enough to eat significant part of this pie.

Lightning Network needs some tipping points to scale up and becomes a household facility. Some hardware devices, like a node phone, are necessary to remove barriers for SMB/personal adaptions.
