Ordered. I've been waiting for this for so long that I will feel personally insulted if it's not truly excellent, and will go on some kind of revenge quest. Stay tuned.

Here are some crumbs to tide one over till the book is released.

What’s with those prices? Is that normal?

30 Dollars for 322 pages (paperback version) doesn't strike me as excessively expensive? Or maybe that's because I'm biased myself due to my academic background ;)
The hardcover version is quite expensive indeed, but I guess that's targeting libraries that have bigger budgets...
reply
It's cheaper than the Softwar Master Thesis book that Amazon is recommending when I click your link. As a side note, I would be much more willing to read Resistance Money than Softwar which sounds more like a wishful-thinking SF book than anything rooted in proper research :)
Interestingly, if I recall well, the author of that Softwar got asked to stop selling it on Amazon as he was basically making money off something his university, and thus public money, had paid for.

Yea I agree $30 isn’t expensive. I meant the disparity between versions

They're academics. So I figured they're just textbook prices.
reply
I mostly meant the disparity between versions - kindle, paperback, and hardcover. But I can the academic textbook angle for hardcover.

Andrew has confirmed the hard cover price is 💯 for “normie academic” libraries 🤙🏽

Looking forward to it.

Oh sweet! I'll give this a read. The thing that orange pilled me was seeing what happened to the Canadian truckers. I went full bitcoin only because of what I saw then.

Also, wow, not even on r/bitcoin? Wth lol

They said they want to reach non-believers
reply
I suppose that’s fair. I wonder how seriously it’ll be taken there. I haven’t been there in years?
reply
I’ve never spent time there. I’m such a Boy Scout I guess.

Going to need a bookshelf

Clicking on the link you provided, I can see they have chosen the right place for AMA.
But, isn't it ignoring the believers or being taken for granted??
