Because it is in Mandarin!
I usually don’t read Chinese books in the name of productivity because I want to apply what I have learnt in my job and it seems that English books allow me to apply takeaways more conveniently.
But I recently had a change of heart. I should read more Chinese books because they offer me a different way of thinking that’s not typically found in the Eurocentric world. Arming myself with multiple perspectives will only help me as a writer.
So here goes:
Book Review
I wrote key words and phrases from the book on the card. Writing in Chinese sparks joy since I don’t do that very often. Also, there is something about writing things by hand that aids the memory process.
