The bell icon at the top has the notifications.  There's a red marker on the bell icon to indicate waiting notifications.  There's no e-mail notification method (yet) for anyone.

In my settings I've got all the notification boxes checked, but only after months & many missed replies did I realize I was never getting notified of replies in any way. 

Today I can see why: I used LN-Auth (as we all should) to log in, but I don't have an email address attached to my account. I guess the option simply felt unnecessary at the time.

I'm not suggesting we need to be forced to include one, but I do think we need some kind of pop-up or other reoccurring warning after we've posted a reply or post here that reminds us we don't have an email address on file.
