I was working at a new place recently.
I noticed that some of the guys had to write reports, or things on the computer.
I was surprised at how much they picked at the keys instead of typing on the keys.
It was something I learned as a kid when I was in high school.
Is it not a skill that is learned anymore?
Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed lots of junior developers don't know how to type properly, it's not on their curriculum at school so they don't try to learn it.

Its a bit weird.
They are quick when it comes to typing on their cell phone.
I remember one of my friends could type 100 words per minute.

Smartphones autocorrect a lot and - supposedly - are constantly refining their suggestions. But 100 wpm... makes me feel old
