am pretty surprised about the change of direction taken. what's your thoughts? how do you compare with the previous logo, being part of a brand image and much more coherent with all other products offered?
old logonew logo
Apparently, the app officially lunched in the app stores too (source: BitKit Blog)
We simply didn't want our logo to be a meme, a meme that many others also use in their logos, and a meme that implies drugs to people who don't know the meme, and a meme that could become stale after a while.
We're here to change the world, not mimic our peers.
I'm really happy with the new brand, particularly the logo and how the app icon looks on my home screen.
There's nothing out there like it, or us!

That's a great approach, and I'm glad you are happily proud with the result. Are you planning to match/apply this new approach across all the other products too?
reply
Unlikely. My original plan was for all the products to "match" only varying the white icon and colors, but this proved to be too restrictive as we added more projects, and it led to using the meme for our wallet icon, which always felt like a compromise.
I want each product to be able to stand on its own, and I'd rather have a great brand for each than force them to match.
We are currently designing the branding for our next product, and we are mostly ignoring the styles of our other brands, but we also haven't finalized it yet...

Nice, looking forward to it!

too much white in the letters, old logo is ok, a totally different look might be considered for a human that does not understand what bitkit is, does, should be considered.
keep asking it will manifest, get more feedback.

I would rather have the old one.
Have anyone use the app? Do you know how the fees system works?
Thanks

It's always nice to see things evolving

Bold. I like it.

I like it a lot. It's pretty rare that a logo embodies a verb. More normally it's a noun. There logo just screams "go" and "do it" and "move forward." Super awesome.

I prefer SN one

Meh it looks like a logo for a high school basketball team.
reply
Fair, but most associations with high school basketball are positive ... which is a lot of what you are looking for with this subconscious stuff. It makes their brand seem more youthful imo. A lot of this subtle design stuff can sound pretty woo, but I'm confident it matters. At least, it probably doesn't hurt.

Oof. The new one is pretty rough. Looks like a candy bar or something. I like the old one.
