Rumor is the big problem is DEI. They fired lots of older, highly competent, white men during the pandemic to save money and replaced them post-pandemic with much less competent people.

We need more companies manufacturing aircrafts for the masses than Airbus & Boeing. We literally have a duopoly, and with no competition there is no innovation and a reduction in standards.

Airbus A220 is actually design by Bombardier. It became Airbus only because of Donald Trump import tax policies, as Airbus has factories inside USA, Bombardier (Canada) does not.

Yep exactly, but not until these companies are nothing more than State extensions, heavily subsidized shit. In these conditions it's extremely difficult for competitors to emerge.
