They've been around for years now and I have a few things there that have run fine, they're not super sensitive or high performance applications though... dev boxes, a torrent tracker, jumphost...
If you're running something high value then you'll have to spend up, I like RackNerd as a cheap option... my super serious stuff is a physical box I own colocated in a datacenter
Understood. Nothing too sensitive, so I could definitely give it a try as their cheapest option is very affordable. Thank you!
If I may know, what do you use for your physical metal box?
reply
Physical box has a lot of fast storage and obviously doesn't share CPU so it's kind of a swiss army knife for Bitcoiny things, a nostr relay, backups etc

Sorry, I meant which company/service are you using? Or you bought the box by yourself and place it somewhere?
reply
The latter, yea there's incredibly good deals on off-lease servers on eBay... enterprise grade stuff from Dell or HP with redundant PSU's and solid mainboards
If you buy one of those you can usually have it shipped directly to a datacenter, remote hands into it, and then install something like proxmox
That's called colocation, some datacenters only offer big room sized cages but even in those you can usually find smaller hosting/IT companies that will rent out a single U with power and bandwidth... usually $50-$150/mo depending on options like A+B power or dual 1Gb to 10GE
