Howdy Stackers!!
Hope you haven't succumbed under the scorching Sun of the longest day (in northern hemisphere). Apart from it being a 'Solstice Day', we also celebrate it as 'the World Yoga Day'. So, before putting down a few of my experiences regarding Yoga I wanna wish you all a very happy and fit Yoga Day.
Although I was born and brought up in a country which founded yoga thousands of years ago, I remaind totally unaware about Yoga untill 2012. I must acknowledge that neither my parents nor my academics ever told a single word about Yoga. But things change and when I got access to internet, due to my immense (read them casually) love for Vedic scriptures, I came across the magic of Yoga.
I knew, Yoga was good for health and tried a few aasanas (sets of exercises) by myself. Then, I thought of learning it. So, to the surprise of all of you, I didn't go to any Yoga teacher in India but I found 'Infinite Horizons', kind of a group of people from Newzealand that teaches Yoga on youtube. I started watching their videos and learnt and found which 'aasanas' are better suited for my health.
Okay, I have a lot to tell about Yoga but it's already 3 AM in the morning in India. After 1 hour I will do half an hour of Yoga and that's what I've been doing since 2012. Lastly, I can just tell you that because of Yoga (I believe), I've never had any problems related to my health. Within the past 12 years or so except Paracetamol, I didn't require to take any pills or syrups.
If you have any questions related to Vedic Yoga, you can ask me anytime. I would be more than happy to answer all of them.
Thanks for reading!
Yoga for me has always been a great help to relax, think and find my inner peace at all times.
