I actually often look for things where we can do new things and we can do things differently because it's so easy to get stuck in a rut and say this is working just fine
Considering talks about rust in git, it feels like we are reaching an inflection point for rust as it approaches its 10th year, where more fundamental systems/tools are beginning to seriously consider using it.
I think during next year we'll actually be starting to integrate drivers and some even major subsystems that are starting to actively use it so it's one of those those things it's going to take years before it's a big part of the kernel
Still, I'll probably always have a fondness for managing memory the unsafe way.

Was just watching this the other day. Been talking to a coworker about using Rust for a project as well(He's a big fan). I think its time for me to learn it.
