The opinion piece by Christopher Caldwell in The New York Times discusses the recent European Parliament elections, where voters in many of the EU's 27 countries supported parties critical of the union. The article argues that the election results were driven by national issues rather than EU-wide policies. For instance, in France, the National Rally party outperformed President Macron's party due to dissatisfaction with his immigration policies. Similarly, in Germany, voters were frustrated with energy policies. Caldwell suggests that the core issue is not the EU's actions but its identity and structure, which do not resonate with many Europeans[1].

Dislike???

The Greeks I told that I regard it as an illegal, literally demonic entity that needs to DIE soon were all very happy and relieved when I spent around a week there recently!

So many won't dare talk about things in the open, just like with the Soviet Union...

People are beginning to disbelieve in the policies of the European Union throughout the continent, they say that there is an uprising of the "ultra-right" as happened before of WWII, what they do not understand is that it is the natural movement of the population against a draconian policy, I did not vote in the elections to the European Parliament...

I regard it as responsible for an illegal occupation of most countries in Europe.

Simple as that, the punishment once it breaks should match that fact!

reply

Without a doubt, they are the ones to blame for the occupation, they are the ones who have allowed the borders to practically not exist.

Thanks for your insight

The original vision of European Union was economic, the common market, free trade zone and partnership, etc

Somehow EU morphed into European Parliament!!! Puke
