I llke how, since LN is new to Purse, they are like ... what is this Lightning Network thing?
When the recently launched the ability to pay using LN, their instructions were: [paraphrasing] To pay your LN invoice on Purse, ... first move your onchain bitcoin to Lightning.
Shitcoining damages your brain! It's like they've been MIA for half a decade. Good to see them return to bitcoin.
LOL.

Overall purse.io looks like interesting project and system (except for having altcoins).
Has anyone used it successfully? Is there some KYC involved - wouldn't this be a cool way to get non-KYC coins? (or rather coins associated with a different name)

Some of the details are not exactly precise, so take with a grain of salt, e.g.
  • Login with Lightning - true
  • P2P messaging - not currently
  • Getting paid Sats for your contributions to the platform by other users - true
  • Instead of upvotes, the popularity of posts is measured by the amount of Sats given - not really

P2P messaging is working fine in Sphinx

It's not key feature of the SN platform though... (as the article claims)

Is not a key feature but is possible
