World's Highest Village

Komic (also spelled as Komik) is a small village located at an elevation of 4,587 m (15,049 ft) in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh with population of 130 of out of which 90 males and 40 are females as per Population Census 2011.

Not sure whether it is really the highest, as far as I remember there might be places in Peru and around with an elevation even above 5000m. Nevertheless, it is a very nice village.

La Rinconada is a town in the Peruvian Andes near a gold mine. At up to 5,100 m (16,700 ft; 3.2 mi) above sea level, it is the highest permanent settlement in the world.
