I can't say much on all other aspects of Fukuyama ideology but I love love love the concept of "end of history".
Because for me personally it describes a feeling I have about how I conceptualize the world. Somewhere after WWII the "history" faded, in 1989 when the Soviet Union collapsed history had almost completely ended and at least with the internet we live in the post-history modernity
I know from an objective point that this is nonsense. Liberal democracy of the 90s wasn't the end of history and history continues to play out before our eyes. But who of us can say with a straight face that this isn't a feeling they ever had with the end of the cold war and the advent of the internet. Most people feel like they were asleep and woke up when they connected to the internet. Like a fever dream.
