82MPH is very slow for Major League Baseball. Avg is around 95mph and some guys throw even up to 103mph.
A knuckleball is almost a trick pitch. I am sure they have something similar in cricket bowling. The knuckleball is designed to be thrown with no rotation or very little rotation of the ball, which makes it float and do crazy things.
We also use knuckleballs in cricket.
I was surprised because the the bowling in baseball is like throwing a ball so it must get more MPHs, while in Cricket you've to rotate your hand completely and can only bend the knew for 15 degrees.
An Illegal Bowling Action is where a player is throwing rather than bowling the ball. This is defined by the ICC as being where the player's elbow extends by an amount of more than 15 degrees between their arm reaching the horizontal and the ball being released.
This is one big difference in Cricket and Baseball.
