can you get me started on this search? I feel like I've already done a pretty decent job of cracking the egg (to borrow a phrase), but perhaps there's some strategy I could have been applying this whole time?
for example:
recently, I've heard a lot about a US Foundation's efforts to sway conservative executive action. My first step was to go and read the actual documents that people are so activated to discuss, and form my own opinions. My second step was to listen to countervailing opinions about the same topic.
I'll say that my opinions on the matter have evolved somewhat as a result of listening to the counterpoints. I still think the contrary positions I've heard don't hold up well under scrutiny.

In truth, I have learned a lot by watching tutorials and listening to podcasts on the subject. It is an excellent way to advance in that process of having a new thought.
