How stupid is it for a government to sell bitcoin in return for a money it can already print at will? FFS 🤦
I wanted to make sure @TomK saw this.

I bet there will come a time when selling bitcoin Publicly and buying/mining privately will become the Logical course of action for governments.
Selling Publicly keeps up the PSYOP goal of making it look like they still have confidence in their currency. If they said they were going to hodl the BTC they had their currency will implode.
This way it gives them time to buy more privately with the money they print.
Just needed to see if my tin foil hat still fits.

That makes sense, but I don’t think Germany is that mastermind. They probably wouldn’t have closed all their nuclear plants if they were also planning on mining.

the Germans are world champions in moralizing. they are saving the world by de-industrializing themselves. show a little respect for this feat!

That cartoon really captures how I feel every morning when I start opening your posts. It's just a delight to see what Germany has for us everyday.

nobody believes me, but i am a proud german. but i hate this leftist moralizing green shit politics. that's why i fled to the south where normal values tradition are still lived. We have to fight together for freedom here, that's what it's all about.

They want to make sure they achieve the worst possible outcome for their people. Thus it is a good strategy.

thank you, i've seen that about 100,000 times now. it's really beyond belief, but the Germans are following the playbook of the european central bank and the technocrats in Brussels like a little mangy mutt. and putting bitcoin on the balance sheet of either the central bank or the state would signal that you don't trust your own fiat currency. so get rid of it

Maybe there was something else behind the sale of Bitcoin by the German government, or they know something that we don't...

I guess stranger things have happened, but their track record suggests otherwise.

This is the Zenith of stupidity!!

We ain’t seen nothing yet. I’ve been saying that we’re living on the dumbest timeline for years. Things will keep getting stupider from here.

My biggest question is what price will Germany buy back at?
Also what other country out there holds a bunch of bitcoin that we think will end up dumping next? If Biden is re-elected I think the USA.
reply
They might never buy back in. The Euro could easily fail before that.

Historians will be studying this in a few decades. Way worse than the bitcoin pizza.
