I always thought NYC was ahead of its time for not using standardized cans but I guess it was behind. I like the idea of picking your own can. It seemed luxurious to me.

LOL. I remember visiting and seeing piles of trash bags on the street. Trucks going 24/7. It was pretty wild for a rural boy to see.
