On a related note, this reminds me of a recent viral WhatsApp video of a young African woman in her late twenties, who died in the Sahara desert while trying to make it to Europe illegally. She was buried in the sand by her acolytes... One of them was filming the improvised "burial" and then uploaded the video online, with the ask that if anyone recognised her, they should inform her family of her death!!

This is of course not an isolated case. The journey is extremely dangerous, especially for women... everyone knows it, but still, people are so desperate and naive. You can't blame them, it's the system's fault.
