I thought we'd given up on hydrogen as a fuel source. I don't think they ever got seriously used in cars. Who is using hydrogen fuel?

Isn't Hydrogen pretty dangerous if it gets near fire? I know it is very volatile...
The Toyota Mirai is a Hydrogen car, as well as what the Nikola truck aims to be. Curious on the viability of this over electric/gas.

One of reasons I prefer hydrogen fuel is When hydrogen is used in fuel cells to generate electricity, the only byproducts are water vapor and heat, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels.
