If he does still attend, will the security be crazy? Of course. What types of effects will this have on the rest of the conference?
his team has just confirmed it

Well there you have it! Seems like it will be in person as well. What a wild world we are living in at the moment.

Don't see why not. He was pretty defiant straight after this shooting. Short of security advisors forbidding it, I expect he'll be business as usual.

I feel split.
  • On one hand DJT being in office is the biggest chance possible for making steps toward hyperbitcoinization.
  • On the other hand I do not want Bitcoin to be further politicized to one side. Making Bitcoin further right-coded limits its adoption to 50% of the population

"Bitcoin's for the right, Bitcoin's for the left" OH FUCK OUTTA HERE WILL YA?
That's some of the stupidest things I've read in a while: People claiming something neutral, a tool, to be situated on a particular side of the political spectrum.
People who think like that really can't be the brightest.

I hope not. Security will be slower and more invasive than usual. I don’t need to hear him speak. There are thousands of hours of him speaking online.

I agree. It is too much trouble. He should do a live video conference like Snowden.
reply
I imagine if he does speak both the crows and the security will be bigger than expected. Slow, crowded, loud, I'll stay home and buy donuts with sats.

Anytime a President visits security tightens but now after an assassination attempt??? After the Republican convention?

It's confirmed he will attend. #608214
reply
Definitely he will

He's still speaking at the RNC.
I'm volunteering and I haven't heard anything yet

👏👏👏

Of course

You’re sure he will attend? Surely there’s a chance he now cancels some of his best-future schedule?
reply
That's not how it works. Because it hasn't happened so much in a while, people forget we used to have this kind of violence fairly frequenty. It is unAmerican to back down. Security will get better, but he will go where he wants.
Also, do we know that he was attending? He could be presenting remotely.
reply
he will get good press out of the Nashville conference
reply
bitcoin doesn't give a shit about presidents
reply
Looks like it, I hope he does. I also hope they beef up the security 10 fold and have dogs, two security checkpoints and pat everyone. Honestly, security needs to be 3x airport security IMO. Looking forward to seeing him!
reply
Yes, he is going to attend bitcoin conference because it's very important for Trump as well as for his election.
reply
Good, he should, get bitcoiners on your side and that's an easy win in November. Just say you will ensure private property and encourage development, that should do it. That senator from Wyoming is right, we can save the dollar by holding BTC in treasury.
reply
Yes, why not! As his first was telling he is brave enough to face another attempt.
reply
Sources say possibly.
