Fantastic subject and photos! I learned to drive in one of those and later had one modded (lowered, tuned, magged, and candy apple painted). My family took a 1200 mile round trip to Disney World in a VW Squareback, plus a high school buddy had a yellow VW Thing. Later I had a 79 Rabbit and a 89 Fox. I get pretty nostalgic about VWs. Hell I own a Jetta GLI now! 🤣
