I agree with your criticisms of the conference itself. Leaning into the "crypto" side of bitcoin is silly imo. When I went to Miami last year, I ended up spending very little time at the conference itself (aside from the open source stage, which was very good), and hanging out at a variety of spontaneously-organized side-events. This year, I'm bringing my son to Nashville, and intend to spend as much time as I can with cool people outside the conference itself.
