The French star Kylian Mbappé has signed contracts to join Real Madrid, the UEFA Champions League winners, during the current summer transfer window, coming from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
Mbappé signed the contracts today alongside Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez after passing the club’s medical examination.
Spanish radio "COPE" revealed the release clause in Mbappé's contract, which amounts to one billion euros.
Mbappé will receive an annual salary of 15 million euros for five seasons, in addition to performance-related bonuses, making him the highest-paid player at Real Madrid.
Mbappé will receive 70% of the revenue from the sale of his image rights for marketing and commercial purposes, with the remaining percentage going to the Spanish club.
Additionally, Mbappé will receive 150 million euros as a "signing bonus" for joining "Los Blancos."
