It was the tragedy involving TAM's Airbus A-320, which was on flight 3054, coming from Porto Alegre and bound for Congonhas Airport in São Paulo.
On that day, the plane was unable to slow down when landing and crashed into a TAM cargo warehouse located at the end of the runway, on the opposite side of Washington Luís Avenue.
All 187 people on board the plane, as well as 12 others on the ground, died in the accident.
