Fátima Zacaria Hilário, a 21-year-old married mother, is an example of overcoming obstacles and innovation by starting businesses that allow her community to have access to digital entertainment and some technological services, such as a cinema.

Fátima set up a community cinema in her home, known locally as a “club”. The club, built of wattle and daub, has a capacity for about 50 people and is equipped with a satellite television antenna, a sound system and a screen. This space shows a variety of entertainment content, from soap operas to football matches.

Tickets to access the space range from 5 to 20 meticais, with the most expensive ticket being for the finals of international football championships, as explained by the entrepreneur.

Passionate about technology, she says that she got her first cell phone when she was in the 10th grade, given to her by her father.

“My father gave me my first cell phone with internet, I used it to download books and connect to social networks, and I really liked it,” says Fátima.
