I totally get that dream -- when I was a kid, I read a book by Roger Kahn (of Boys of Summer fame) about the year he spent owning a minor-league team, and it was the reason I first went to some minor league games (starting with the Durham Bulls when I spent time in NC as a teen).

Like everything else in the world MiLB teams are getting more expensive in fiat terms. When I first started thinking about this you could buy a lower level team for 2-3M and the higher levels for 15-20M but I think the floor is around 6-7M now and the ceiling is up to 50M.
