I was thinking about that...whats to stop Joe from pardoning Hunter, James, etc? I mean who cares about optics at this point?

Joe is definitely not leaving the White House until he issues some quid pro pardons.
I'm not saying he will stay thru Jan 20, 2025 necessarily
The last time the current VP ran for office was 2000, Al Gore
edit: my favorite has to be Marc Rich by Bill Clinton, such an obvious quid pro quo, he didn't consult DOJ or US Attorney handling the Rich case, completely blindsided federal prosecutors... it's my favorite because he was so brazen and shameless about it
