I think Freud is still misunderstood or incorrectly interpreted. People say his theories have been debunked but I don’t see it. I have not seen compelling proof that his ideas are outdated. I’m not saying I am a Freudian, rather, not all his ideas and theories are wrong. It’s the house of cards approach to destroying a person or theory. One idea is wrong ergo the person was wrong about everything.

Edit: one of Freud most compelling ideas is that true happiness is derived from the fulfillment of a childhood wish. Happy children are happy adults. Unhappy children are depressed neurotic adults.
