Why would anyone listen to a former PM. The whole reason of being voted out is to prevent the former PM of superseding their previous level of relevance.

it's relatively simple: this is a self-contained caste. just as James Cameron returned to the cabinet as a former prime minister, BoJo the Clown will one day play an active role in politics again. these people don't need mandates to exercise power.
