There are people like this everywhere. It can be shocking but it is not rare. Much more rare than it used to be, thankfully. These people do not hide their hatred. What makes it hard is when media and politicians use these terms to smear people that they don't agree with. It gives a false impression as well as weakens the public's trust. It removes the power of these words.
We saw this in the presidential debate when Biden misrepresented Trump's often misquoted "very fine people" comment. It is easily debunked when you watch his comment in context but because people want to believe it, Biden has lied about this for the past 4 years. It really destroys credibility.
I live in a very progressive state but I can recall my dad telling me a KKK group was camping in the mountains near us. I'd rather know who these people are. Let them tell us. That's why I prefer Nostr over centrally moderated platforms like Twitter. Then I can see what people really think.

Anyone else think there's a decent chance this is somehow staged, or a false flag?
I think there's a good possibility.
reply
False flags happen so it's possible. Groups that hate/oppose other people exist though too. I just really don't want some shit to happen at this conference.
reply
No, Nashville and the surrounding region have Nazi leaning sympathies. It isn't really a new trend.
reply
Both can be true. Likely is.
reply
What I'm telling you is that it isn't a false flag for the region. If anything, its visibility on what is/has been for years. Now, whether that hatred is trying to be used for some other purpose, that's another discussion.
reply
Tell us more about the region. People don't get it.
reply
uh, what?
reply
Sorry typo. people don't get it if they haven't experienced it
reply
Oh. Well, Downtown Nashville has a literal replica of the Parthenon and not far away is Memphis. The "Memphis Mafia" and recording industry there are widely networked with not especially understanding sorts of people.
Is there any way to tell?

I wish I could find that photo from a couple years back. It was from somewhere in the southeast (was it perhaps Nashville? can't remember), and showed a huge purported Nazi group, all marching in synch, all white, all about the same height, in tan pants, white polo shirts, red caps, all with masks on. Something like that.
It got a lot of coverage in alternative media as an obvious false flag, and really seemed like it to me.
Anyone remember this? Can you find the photo? I don't even know how to start searching for something like this.
reply
Found it! It's the patriot front group (supposedly). It was WIDELY reported in alternative media (Joe Rogan, etc.) that it was probably a false flag.

Neo-Nazi's in Nashville and designated terrorist supporters in Washington, DC... how did we as a country fall this far

Whatever this is, let's hope bitcoin doesn't get embroiled in it.

For a brief moment I thought this was going to be a Bitcoin Conference FUD article.
These crazy "crypto" people took over our city. They are all white and male and keep talking about freedom.
