AMD has announced the postponement of the Ryzen 9000 launch due to undisclosed manufacturing issues. The company plans to recall units sent to distributors and replace them with new ones. It is unclear whether the issue affects performance or has any effect on even earlier units, such as engineering samples often used by motherboard makers and overclockers.
The Ryzen 9 9950X is a 16-core Zen5 processor with a 5.7 GHz max boost and a default TDP of 170W, the highest among all Granite Ridge SKUS. It is unclear how much this power setting has been increased in the case of the following sample.
