It's actually a better article than I initially thought.

It starts by saying that tech is turning Republican out of self interest (since Democrats are proposing things like taxes on unrealized capital gains.) And I thought to myself, "Oh boy, another leftwing piece about how only selfish and greedy people can support Republicans."

But further down it does cover a lot of other cultural reasons, including how progressive policies turned San Francisco into a dump, and how the Democrat party became the party of obedience, especially during COVID, while the Republican party is becoming the party willing to question authority.

So, yeah, pretty interesting read.
