War is good for business. At least for those who are actively involved in it. Lockheed Martin, an US aerospace company from the military sector, is now announcing more in-depth cooperation with its counterparts in the UK. It is about the efficient infiltration of research capacities at British universities and faster production of space-related weapon systems. Before our very eyes, parts of the civilian infrastructure and economy are being transformed into a war economy.
A small side note: as part of my work, I had the pleasure of moderating a discussion with a well-known German politician: Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann. It gave me the 'pleasure' to look behind these scenes. This woman, responsible for the promotion of the war sector in Germany, a liberal politician, said bluntly that it was now all about building a war economy. She also told us that entrepreneurs must be prepared for the fact that in ten years it will most likely be almost impossible to trade with China. These people are pursuing an agenda that is not to our advantage.

War has always been good for certain businesses. Its just the reality of life. If only Lockheed Martin would work on faster air travel, that is more efficient. That would help society in so many ways.
