Let’s see how it plays out over the next few years. I would want to hold my keys if I was putting my BTC up as collateral. 

This is an interesting theory. 
So if you have one bitcoin, will you become a millionare?
Be able to print your own fiat money when you borrow against your btc?
The problem with borrowing against your btc is that you have to send it to them or give them your private key. 
Doesnt sound very safe, does it?
