Brave New World Revisited is a non-fiction reflection by Aldous Huxley of the state of the world in 1958, 26 years after writing Brave New World. This is the third chapter of Brave New World Revisited.
A haunting quote from this chapter: "The challenge of social engineering in our time," writes an enthusiastic advocate of this new science, "is like the challenge of technical engineering fifty years ago. If the first half of the twentieth century was the era of the technical engineers, the second half may well be the era of the social engineers" -- and the twenty-first century, I suppose, will be the era of World Controllers, the scientific caste system and Brave New World.
This was the book that one of my technocratic ancestors had in the bookshelf... Read it maybe 30 years ago for that reason
