I mean companies like Meta are just straight up blocking their LLMs, OpenAI is running into issues as well with antitrust. The biggest telltale sign is the only big AI company to emerge from the EU is Mistral AI and they have been trying to expand in the US in part because of questions surrounding what the EU is doing.

There will always be people that object. But AI does need competition, so its healthy that they are doing different things, with different restrictions.

Right, but once they see it doesnt help, they will probably lighten it or change it. New things take time to develop.

True! Finding that sweet spot is hard I think they just went way to far one way without looking or reading into what their decisions would lead to! I'm not used to saying or thinking a government moved to fast but in this case… its true!

They probably did go too hard too quickly. But there were things they worried about. One of the new AI started making its own language and talking to each other before they pulled the plug. There are many ways AI could do good and bad.
