I've these $300 USD on my paypal account and thinking to buy some sats. I thought I'll post it here in case there's any stacker interested on making a deal. My offer link below in the comments, so I can delete it when done.
I read @Catcher's post #619262 about being scammed on HODLHODL, hope everything will go fine when using Robosats!
Alternatively, can you suggest any alternative ways to buy sats using that PayPal credit?
F paypal, never use it, sooner or later you get screwed, the question is WHEN not IF. Just say no to paypal, you will live longer/healthier life... YMMV
reply
yeah agree, unfortunately has been setup long time ago and is the only way a current customer is able to pay the bills.

Save the customer and get him out of this mess. St. Peter will Thank You at the pearly gates ...lol

I wish I could get paid in sats instead... Maybe time to talk about it, thanks!

I just finished reading that post, and it's very unfortunate, but it is well known that PayPal is not an option for doing P2P with Bitcoin, because of that bad option that the transaction can be cancelled within 10 minutes.
reply
Huff To avoid scams, make sure you don't send anything until the coin is in escrow and confirmed.
reply
thanks for the suggestion! That's why I'm trying with Robosats

I think the problem with Paypal is that the payment is not settle right away, so for the seller it could be an issue.
reply
I understand, and it's definitely a valid reason to avoid paypal.

I think you'd better get the cash off PayPal and use something else to buy sats. Its not worth the risk
reply
as @Bitcoiner1 mentioned, I assume the risk is more for the buyer. Unfortunately don't have a bank account associated with it and who knows why, transfer to a debit or credit card is not allowed!
The gift card could be a solution, but I'd like to explore more options.

You could use the PayPal credit to buy amazon or apple gift cards and then sell those for Bitcoin on localcoinswap as well. Telegram me amuna1225 if you need more help. I'm very well versed in this stuff.

Thank you very much for offering your availability. From my understanding I know that buying Gift cards is an option, but also know that people usually buy them with bitcoin at a discount (some time until 50%) as there's many frauds around it... maybe I'm wrong, I've no experience with gift cards directly. Any suggestion is welcome

Honestly you're not going to get a bite trying to buy $300 worth of Bitcoin and actually getting $300 market value. In the p2p world, there is always an upcharge no matter how you're trying to pay. Hell, even when I purchase sats on cashapp or sell them I lose a small percentage. There has to be profit involved for the seller/buyer. There's no benefit for someone to sell you the actual market value and waste their time just to help you out unless they're doing it as a favor.

Make sense, no incentive = no deal.

Localcoinswap is your best option IMO, and non custodial wallets as well that you can export. However, they only support on chain BTC. You'd absolutely find what you're looking for there though. They also offer alt coins as well but most traffic is Bitcoin. You won't get scammed here as long as you don't send until the coin is in escrow and confirmed.

Localcoinswap THanks for the info, I never heard of Localcoinswap and I'll definitely have a look. Now the offer is on Robosats so I'll wait until it expires in 23h.

Try to avoid PayPal and its subsidiaries at all costs!

Huge red flag to sell/buy BTC via PayPal.

Yeah charge backs are very easy to pull off with PayPal...I learned the hard way
