ChatGPT is the replacement for search engines.

When I want specific details I go straight to chatGPT. When I want the bigger picture or images, or links, I go for brave search. Sometimes I use google to search for specific images, like the one with the guy smoking I posted earlier. Besides that, Google is not needed.

ChatGPT though is also already under investigation for being a monopoly. I wouldn't be surprised if they get the ax in some way shape or form sooner rather than later esp. with Sam Altman in charge.

So the big ones in use right now like ChatGPT, Gemini, and CoPilot are all under investigation as well... truly a wild thing if we are being honest

It's hard to defend monopoly when you have 3 companies accused of the same monopoly.
The investigations, I think, have more to do with governments trying to tame this new tech in their favor than creating a competitive industry.
