I got the idea for this post by listening to Lewis Howes’ podcast, The School of Greatness. One of his invited guests, Jaspreet Singh, was explaining something about confidence and competence in regard to managing one’s money mindset.
Sounds to me like an apt description of posting on Stacker News. It encourages me to be 1% better every day and fuels my rank in the following areas:
  1. Control - I have a ton of things to do at work, some of which are imposed on me as a result of tardy processes. I might have felt frustrated in the past, but here I am, posting my thoughts on SN instead. I may be filled to the brim, but I can still steal moments to fulfill my writing goals.
  2. Confidence - I post my thoughts on territories which charge anything from 1 to 402 sats. This may be unwarranted arrogance but I do feel confident that I can recoup my posting fee. My thoughts are worthy enough.
  3. Competence - I have learnt that anything that happens to me can be curated into a post. I think I’m better at extracting the story worthiness out of an incident and expanding on it. On paper, my days blend absentmindedly into one another, but I will like to believe that I live my days intentionally because I write.
Gotta rush to prepare my student for emceeing duties for next week’s Spelling Bee. 🐝 Have a good day ahead!
I want to confess that I have been in S.N. for a short time... and although I work as a cell phone accessories salesman in the streets of Lima, the fast-paced and busy capital of Peru... While I get on and off the transport units... I make room for my breakfast and I comment on S.N. I like to enter the territory of books and reading since I really like to read... and obviously as I am learning in the world of Cryptoeconomics I also like the content of Bitcoin... it is a social network if that is what it could be called... very entertaining and also while I give my opinion it stacked my sats👍 Excellent

Indeed, it’s very liberating that our humble opinions can earn us sats.

What you do is excellent, we should always find a way to dedicate time to SN. There is no similar platform, SN is definitely the best.

Thanks, mate

Do you still do the 200 sat rule you talked about before?
reply
Apparently I don’t because I don’t remember it. What did I mention?

zapping popular posts and hanging out at the Saloon: One way to get rewarded with sats is to zap the trending posts. So I look at the top posts and see if I have anything else to add on. I never zap a post that I don’t leave a comment for;
I just pick from your post.#393176
reply
oh, you remember it, too? @cryotosensei seems like it was 500, not 200. I stand corrected. You still do this technique?
reply
Yes, I also read it, so I remembered it immediately.
reply
Wow, this is rather flattering. That you remember what I posted xP
reply
Of course, I do actually read and pay attention to things. I think that was early on when I first joined, so I didnt comment on it.

I remember the thrill I felt when I learnt that you had taught in Taiwan before
It was a good read. I wonder if he has changed his technique since?
reply
Definitely he has changed it now.
reply
I dont know, I feel he might not have. He is pretty consistent about his posting, so he must spend what he earns from them.

How you use 200 throughout the day, and have to be careful who you zap and comment on.
reply
I have since relaxed my zapping habit. I don’t have a strict number in mind these days. Usually I try to zap people who take the time to comment on my post. Also if I post something on a territory, I will zap one other post.

It’s been awhile since I listened to that podcaster. I will need to check out this episode. Keep growing and practicing your skills!

Remember to listen to him on Fountain to qualify for some sats!

Congratulations, your reflections always leave something positive in me, you have a gift for transmitting good energies and good thoughts through your prayers. I try to dedicate some time to SN, but I have occasions when my occupations consume my time and I cannot walk around here, however I always remember @criptosensei a man with obligations, married, children, he is a teacher, he supports in his household chores, and always finds space to publish in SN to share anecdotes, curiosities or experiences. Bravo! 👏 that reminds me of the phrase that says "There is no lack of time, there is poorly organized time"

I’m glad that I bring positive vibes to you xP

I love stacker news because I feel like most of the community is trying to be 1% better, it feels like a big-winner mindset with bitcoiners all around.

Uncensorable platforms is my foundation for whatever I'll buidl next, the alternative is just doom and the next rugpull!
And that gives me confidence and inspiration in this inevitable battle against centralized tech powers that should never have been...
