This seems a bit off-topic. Isn't this site only for Bitcoin?

This site is censor-proof; unclear if moderation is happening. I think anything upvoted, goes.

I haven’t moderated yet. I don’t want to have to but we need to figure how we’ll keep out rift raft otherwise.

For sure. This account in particular just seems to post links to cryptonews.net, seems like SPAM to me.
I know other communities use things like post-to-comment ratios to handle accounts that just self-promote and SPAM.
Anyway, I think it'd be nice to at least aim for higher quality content. It'd suck big time if this just ends up mirroring r/bitcoin.

What about punishing accounts by seizing their funds? It would need to be very clear though that this would happen if rules were broken, ofc.

We discuss this on this post #6315
Ideally we can come up with a solution where we use Bitcoin to our advantage rather than recreating the problems of other communities by using all the same solutions.
I'm going to be thinking about this a lot through the end of the year. Seems necessary to find solutions if we're going to scale. Worst case we can mod, downvote, and weight the ranking algorithm a variety of ways. Best case we use Bitcoin to create something where spam, attacks, etc. make you lose significant money, ie What Would Satoshi Do?
