I doubt they wanted to cripple the US and I don't think they did. I think they wanted to change the power balance between themselves and the Fed, though, which consequently led to a market correction.
All of this is happening because the US printed so many dollars.

You don't have to interpret it as "blame". That implies they were doing something immoral and I don't believe anyone is implying that.

Fair enough. I just meant no one in the conversation thus far had implied that. State monetary policy, in and of itself, is immoral. So, I guess I'm also saying it.
