An American takes his 19-year-old dog to the lake every night so it can sleep for a few hours. The dog cannot sleep otherwise because it suffers from chronic arthritis. Its legs hurt so much that it can barely walk. Doctors wanted to euthanize it, but the dog’s owner, John Anger, did not allow it.

The dog once saved him from suicide, and now he takes the dog to the lake every night so it can sleep.

“What does this dog mean to me? It cannot be described in words. When you give love, it comes back tenfold. I simply love him,” says John Anger.
