What a thrilling match at Parc des Princes! Spain beats France 5-3 at extra time.
The match commenced very well for local team as they got an early goal, after the Spanish goalkeeper failed to save the ball.
Spain did not lose the patience and managed to get an equaliser by Fermin.
And then, just a few minutes later, Miranda run from box to box and passed the ball to Abel Ruiz, but the French goalkeeper denied the goal. Fermin received the deflected ball and scored the second.
A free kick, at the left hand corner of the French box, helped to increase the lead. Alex Baena scored a superb goal, with the French goalkeeper juts following the ball with his sight.
At halftime, Spain was leading 3-1. Totally unexpected, considering France had a whole stadium behind them.
Second half was different. Spain stayed close to goalkeeper and France managed to equalise the result. First, in a free kick which hit a Spanish defender, the deflected ball ended at the net.
Finally, at 89 minutes, referee conceded a penalty kick and France got the equaliser.
At extra time, it was obvious that everyone was exhausted. However, Camello scored twice to take Spain to the glory.
What an incredible summer for the Spanish football!!
