Today, i was watching a basketball game, and thought what if Bitcoin entered the sports world (i'm not talking about sports betting btw) How do you think Bitcoin can help the sports industry?
Let me start. Imagine Binance or someone as big as it, enters as a sponsor for the world cup for example, that would be huge for the crypto world and that will bring new people in.
What about you? How do you think Bitcoin and the crypto world can help the sports industry?
You'll get farther here if you leave out "crypto" from discussions. Most of us here are at the very least skeptical of altcoins and prefer to focus on Bitcoin.
To your answer your question, tons of exchanges are already advertising in sports. Both FTX and Coinbase had ads during this past Super Bowl.

oh that's nice to know, and thank you for the heads up, will keep that in mind!

Companies have already entered the space. There's FTX Arena and Cryto.com Arena and I'm sure others will buy naming rights/licenses for other arenas and stadiums. Some teams are even allowing fans to purchase some products with bitcoin. Here's one example: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/houston-texans-bitwallet-partner-to-accept-bitcoin-payments
I think Bitcoin payments will become common in the industry, more players will chose to take a portion or their entire salary in bitcoin. Youth leagues could fundraise and accept Bitcoin. There's so much to the industry. The possibilities are endless!
