The problem for most Americans is that it is increasingly difficult to make ends meet despite record government spending, or because of its negative impact on inflation and taxes.
I can honestly say that this year has been the worst of my life. If you would have asked me last year I would have sad the same thing. Now I wish I could go back to last year.

Credit card debt is bad, and a lot of spending is still on unnecessary things.

People need to change jobs and just not be comfortable. Find a job that is willing to give you overtime. There was just another article showing americans have a 50k budget for spending on junk.

I often struggle to sympathize with people when I see how they spend so recklessly. I’m doing well now, but I was quite poor for most of my adult life and it’s not that bad if you spend wisely.

I struggle with it, too. People need to learn how to tighten their belts. Having a new cell phone is not something that people who are complaining about money should have. Having a new shiny car, including the car payment. People need more discipline.
