Another step towards total control and tyranny, Europe pointed to the government of China as tyrannical, authoritarian, and controlling. Still, I think Europe is one step ahead of China in this respect.

Keeping up with China is no easy feat. Is it even possible? Or are you getting at something more specific?

How long for you is a generation? 40 years? I also don't think that such a tyrannical and oppressive system can last long.

Hmm I can't imagine China collapsing in that period of time, but I can imagine Europe... I may be wrong.

China probably won’t collapse but it can stagnate. The Chinese model of capitalism and authoritarianism cannot continue forever. They have to pick a path sooner or later

Right, I don't know what to call the system they have set up there, state capitalism? but hey, there are so many "empires" that have to come down, the United States is also one of them.

When we have the CBDCs ready, the EU digital identity wallet, and that thing that you mention, we will be totally lost, not counting the extreme surveillance on the internet and in the streets with cameras everywhere, we could say that George Orwell was far from being completely right.
