I have a hard time ranking people for many reasons but one big one is if they lived in different times they likely influenced each other. They likely built on top of each other's ideas or at least in contrast.

Now I really like Mises, Rothbard, and Hoppe but wouldn't presume to say any of those are the best. They all have contributed to the knowledge we have.
