Cut down the rooster instead if one wants to mess with stuff.
Don't make up rules to affect the play of the game.
While I am complaining: Bring back the shift, make them hit it when they ain't.
I don't disagree (especially on the shift), but we've had rules changes affecting play for ages (the DH, pitch clock, height of the mound, etc). I feel like rule changes that happened before I was a fan, or ones I've had years to get used to, don't have the same impact.
If the pitcher has to stay in then also eliminate the DH
