This would be hard to implement (even with the exceptions -- injuries, 100 pitches, or more than four runs), but could be interesting. I'm certainly going to keep my eye on this.

Cut down the rooster instead if one wants to mess with stuff.
Don't make up rules to affect the play of the game.
While I am complaining: Bring back the shift, make them hit it when they ain't.

I don't disagree (especially on the shift), but we've had rules changes affecting play for ages (the DH, pitch clock, height of the mound, etc). I feel like rule changes that happened before I was a fan, or ones I've had years to get used to, don't have the same impact.
