Moving your neck in any way during an injury like that is a nono. Just have to brace until they do the testing.

Yep! Hospital decided they knew better and moved it though so that's super scary in hindsight! I wore a c-collar for a couple of months before my surgery and then six months after any time I wasn't lying down. To this day I still wear it for airplane take offs and landings because of how bumpy and just the force on your neck at those times. Same if the flight is having a lot of turbulence!

Luckily for me it was something that only took a couple of hours and once I failed the test they removed it. It was a quick oh you hella failed this so this is going to be a short little surgery and I was able to go back to the RMH that night!

It is a wonderful place I hope to one day be able to give them a huge gift for all the amazing people there and what all they do. Everyone that worked or volunteered there were angels!

Yes, I felt the same when I was there. Very good environment, and many people going through similar things.
